I have always been interested in how we can move to a more equal and just society. I like to connect people, dots and systems.

I enjoy working at the ‘intersections’ of our projects – where learning from one area can inform and develop another to design and improve services and plan for the future.

I have been fortunate to work with some brilliant people; helping clients to make connections and build bridges whilst trying to effect lasting, positive changes to the lives of different people and communities both in London and elsewhere.

Rocket Science has enabled me share my 28 years of grantmaking expertise and push boundaries from test and learn approaches through to Place Based Giving.

I am passionate about grants and always delighted to see the incredible impacts they make to charities, organisations and of course, beneficiaries!

I enjoy designing grant programmes that remove access to funding barriers for grass roots organisations who are providing much needed support in their community.

I’m passionate about grant making providing vital funding and support to organisations across the country so that they can deliver life changing outcomes for their communities.

I enjoy translating strategic objectives into operational delivery to secure social, economic and environmental outcomes.

Rocket Science provides me with the chance to hear the stories of residents and groups and give them a platform to create long-lasting social impact in the areas that most matter to them. 

My interests are varied including placemaking and the built environment, the health and wellbeing of children and young people, and the arts as a tool for social change.

With a background in public health and health promotion and policy, primary health care and refugee and asylum seeker support, Chantel is adept at supporting and researching a wide range of topics with an open mind and creative approach, whilst ensuring practical solutions.

Iona joined the Newcastle office as a Consultant in January 2024. Her academic background is in Human Geography with research interests in environmental justice, gender, and feminist methods. She is highly motivated to broaden her interests by working with clients on a range of social justice issues. 

Maryam is a dedicated researcher with a strong focus on user-centered insights and social impact. At Rocket Science UK, she applies her expertise to drive research that supports effective strategies, helping organisations better serve their communities.

I am interested in enabling evidence-based decision-making and applying cultural insight to transform service provision for underserved groups.

Andy Hyde is an experienced researcher, facilitator, learning designer, project manager and dot joiner. He has worked in many different areas and roles, creating spaces and communities that enable people to share their expertise, experiences and stories.

Gianluca is interested in researching, evaluating and developing projects with a social focus, especially those that incorporate participant action and other social action-based elements. 

James Turner is an independent consultant with expertise in project evaluation and research and a particular focus on data analysis and data visualisation.

Morna Ronnie runs a consultancy called The People Portfolio and has worked with Rocket Science as a recruitment and people consultant since 2023.

Dr Rosaleen O'Brien helps clients identity how they might improve existing services and/ or how to develop and evaluate novel interventions that might reduce inequalities and improve quality of life.

SJ is Founding Director of Progress Partners and has worked with the Rocket Science team providing marketing and communications support since 2021.

Bushra Ahmed is a business woman, NED, strategic consultant and community activist, with over 25 years of experience in strategy, governance, finance and community engagement.

Alison Gregory is an independent academic and person-centred counsellor. As a counsellor, Alison has worked for the NHS and several charities, including working with women in refuge.

Dr Billy Bryan is the Evaluation and Research Leader in the Science and Emerging Technologies (SET) team at RAND Europe, a not-for-profit policy think tank in Cambridge, UK.

Helen Killingley has over 15 years of experience in the charity and sports sectors. Her passion lies in philanthropic grant-making and designing accessible services to support those in need.

Jason Nuttall has spent a number of years in a range of fundraising roles securing grant and contract income for charities and social enterprises with focus on supporting deprived communities, growing active citizenship and community engagement.

Joe Ferns has extensive experience in the non-profit sector, having spent 20 years working in various roles, including 10 years in senior leadership positions.

Kelly Rust is an interim, director, coach and mentor working in charities and social businesses.
