Developing a programme of CPD for teachers to support cultural education and careers

Rocket Science partnered with A New Direction to carry out a CPD feasibility study for East Education. The CPD programme aimed to support teachers to better support young people into creative careers in Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest. The first stage of the work was a scoping exercise to understand the CPD already on offer in these four boroughs that related to creative careers. We did this through desk research, and consultation with East Education partners, local organisations and school staff. The second stage of the work was to design a new CPD programme for East Education and test this out with stakeholders prior to presenting a final programme.
