Trauma Informed Practice Training Needs Assessment
We conducted a staff training needs assessment for Trauma Informed Practice to understand the extent to which staff at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde had the knowledge and confidence to utilise trauma informed skills in their delivery of services across addictions, justice, housing and homelessness, and prison and police custody health care services. This study engaged with staff from across the services to understand their views on trauma informed practice and assess their skills and confidence in using trauma informed techniques. Our report and training action plan focused on how NHS GGC can build staff buy in, skills and confidence in trauma informed practices as well as explored the other physical and service processes required to create trauma informed services.
