What I do
Hi, I’m Zubiya. I use quantitative research, economic analysis, and evaluation to help organisations make sense of complex data and make better decisions.
At Rocket Science, I support clients to understand what is changing, why it matters, and how they can maximise their impact. From designing monitoring frameworks and improving data collection approaches to conducting statistical analysis and creating clear, engaging visualisations, I enjoy turning evidence into practical insights and recommendations that drive action.
MY STORY
My interest in economics began with a fascination for how evidence can shape decisions and improve people’s lives. I studied Economics at undergraduate level in India, where I also worked as a researcher at a social policy think tank and led a student economics society.
Wanting to deepen my expertise, I completed an MSc in Economics at the University of Edinburgh. My dissertation explored the impact of the UK’s Levelling Up mission on living standards, bringing together my interests in economics, policy, and social impact

OUTSIDE OF WORK
I can usually be found on a badminton court, planning my next trip to a historic site, or gathering friends and family for an overly competitive board game night. And if there’s a water park nearby, chances are I’ll be first in line for the biggest slide.
