Hanna-Mariam Chowdhury
Grants Officer
London Office
Supporting the management of grant programmes.
What I do
I work on different aspects of grants programmes to ensure they run smoothly for clients and grantees.
I review ongoing monitoring reports, hold meetings with grantees to discuss any changes required, collate final data and learnings about the progress the projects have made across the lifetime of their respective grants. A great part of monitoring and evaluation is learning about a project’s growth and development over the duration of the project, all the way to completion. Many grantees have exceeded the targets they set for themselves and have made such significant positive impacts on the young people they worked with.
MY STORY
Before joining Rocket Science in 2021, I worked in grants and events at Royal Academy of Engineering, CharityComms and The Fore. As the Programme Coordinator at The Fore, I coordinated all elements of the grants and events programmes. I subsequently joined CharityComms as an Events Officer, where I supported delivery of the events programme and organised the management of workshops, seminars and conferences. As a Programme Officer at the Royal Academy of Engineering, I was a part of the Engineering X team with a focus on grant contracts for international universities. In 2017, I completed a BA degree in Journalism.

OUTSIDE OF WORK
I like taking my toddler out to go see how many dogs and planes we can count, and watching The Office US (on my 7th rewatch).
