Analysis into the skills supply and demand for West London

In partnership with the Institute for Employment Studies, we conducted research for West London Alliance of sub-regional labour market supply and demand in West London over the next 10 years.  For skills provision, data on college courses was collected from all FE colleges across the boroughs. Courses were then matched against official classifications used by the ONS. For skills demand, regression analysis was applied to historic data from the Annual Population Survey on jobs by industry and occupation to predict employment trends for 2020-2030. Both data sources were then brought together in an interactive online tool that maps the skills supply against demand.
