OUR Values
Equitable
We are a business that people want to work for and work with for social impact and change.
Our values, ethos, and work are forged from equity and equitable, ethical practice.
This is hardwired into our design, research and reporting and the way we manage our business.
We are committed to addressing power imbalance and not being extractive in our work with others.
Hopeful
We are hopeful for people, communities, the world, the future, and for ourselves.
We explore and understand the context and environment our clients work in and through future proofing, enabling hopeful action that leads to meaningful change and healthier, happier futures.
Purposeful
We lead by our values, deliver with our values, and achieve impact with our values.
Our work with clients is underpinned by our values, testing these throughout into outputs, outcomes and impact that makes a difference.
Imaginative
We are known for being imaginative, innovative, and for brave thinking.
Challenging the status quo and bringing imaginative thinking to all our work. What if, what could be, and how could it happen?
We help clients to imagine what could be and think creatively about their options and next steps, beyond the constraints and silos they may operate within.
Curious
We are known for asking the right questions, exploring the latest ideas and thinking, and helping to open minds to new possibilities.
We help our clients to be curious and understand the value of being able to ask the questions they need to, and to be comfortable with the answers they may get.
Navigating through this curiosity means that all options and views are embedded in recommendations and solutions.
Kind
We are kind in all that we do for our people, our clients and their people.
We understand the political, social, economic, and operating environment challenges our clients are facing.
Through a kind approach and support, we help them navigate difficult times and give them the confidence and tools needed to take the best action.
Our commitments and social value
We are a female led and owned business entirely focused on achieving social impact across the UK.
We actively promote diversity and inclusion by increasing the representation of women, those with lived experience, individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds, and long-term health conditions in leadership roles and within project teams.
We are committed to ensuring diversity at all levels of leadership and engage with careers events to raise awareness of opportunities at work experience levels, right through to internships and graduate opportunities.
We promise to strengthen local economies by maximising the employment of local people, both directly and through our networks, and by partnering with local delivery organisations including those that are led by lived experience. In practice this means:
In some cases, this is at least 25% of the value of the contract being reinvested into support training and development followed by support and help into future work and opportunities through our Peer Research Academy. This is dependent on the type of work.
We ensure that all participation is valued and recognised in research and evaluation and time from individuals recompensed.
We advocate for clients to pay accordingly for participation from VCSE organisations to acknowledge their time and expertise in the design and delivery of research and evaluation projects.
We prioritise the use of community venues for workshops and events and pay them at commercial rates.
We offer our venues as spaces that VCSE organisations can use either for free or at heavily discounted rates.
As a Real Living Wage employer
We provide meaningful, paid work placements and internships targeted to promote social mobility.
We promote local skills development and employment opportunities through innovative peer research initiatives and pay them at Real Living Wage.
We collaborate with FE, HE and education and training providers involving them in our projects, delivering outreach sessions, and providing mentoring to support student development and inspire future careers in research and grant management.
We support the capacity and sustainability of local civil society organisations, VCSEs and SMEs through our supply chain, pro-bono business advice and investment into volunteering which equates to £11,000 per annum or £1,000 per person.
We delivered more than £15,000 of additional value through our pro-bono professional support in the last financial year over and above our volunteering contribution.
5% of our annual profits are reinvested into community initiatives aimed at tackling inequality.
In 2026 this was invested into Camden Giving, reflecting our long history of working in and for Camden communities and in the Place-based Giving Movement.
We facilitate knowledge-sharing and capacity-building by hosting public dissemination events, workshops, and upskilling sessions for VCSEs, students, and research participants, including offering our co-working spaces as a collaborative environment for knowledge-sharing.
We promote the reduction of carbon emissions through energy efficiency measures, such as prioritising low-emission transport or offsetting travel impacts, limiting AI use due to its carbon footprint, and adopting digital-first methods to minimise paper and resource consumption.
