Call for freelance research associates and consultants Scotland and England

Rocket Science is a business with a social purpose helping to tackle inequalities through policy, research and grant management across the UK. You can find out more about us in this short video.

We are looking to add to our team of associates to help us deliver our work across Scotland, the North East, East Midlands, London and the South of England.

As a research associate you may be involved in some or all of a project depending on your interests and availability. We are interested in people who have experience of research, evaluation and/or consultancy in the following sectors:

Children and young people
Employability and work
Skills, education and careers
Criminal justice
Health and social care – systems, services and conditions
Climate change
Welfare and poverty

We are also interested in talking to people that can bring policy experience in any of our markets to add value to analysis and recommendations as a subject matter expert.

Quantitative and Qualitative Researchers

We are looking for experienced researchers that are used to working to high standards and understand principles around ethical, cultural and gender informed research. The type of work includes:

Developing robust research frameworks and support in the development of survey and research materials.
Delivering fieldwork including interviews, focus groups and workshops, writing findings coherently.
Conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis using various software tools.
Writing up analysis and contributing to reporting process.
Supporting the design and delivery of evaluations, including development of TOCs, outcomes frameworks and evaluation frameworks.
